[01:24] <Yaiko> The first one was an ad-hoc story inspired by a study, something relayed to be by a professor once upon a time. Dress a baby in colors associated with one gender, present the baby to a stranger.
[01:24] <Yaiko> If the baby is dressed in "masculine" colors, they will be a bit more physical in playing with the baby, perceive that it is more active, more energetic.
[01:25] <Yaiko> If the baby is dressed in "feminine" colors, they will pull back, perceive a bit of shyness, talk to it more than play-touch.
[01:25] <Yaiko> This is regardless of the gender of the baby.
[01:25] <Celeste> That doesn't surprise me.
[01:27] <Yaiko> The other one was where a baby was dressed in a color not easily associated with a gender, and given to a grad student to hold who didn't know the baby's gender. They'd be in a public place. When a stranger came up and asked them about the child, they were to never refer to the baby's gender and ignore or deflect or just not answer direct questions about it.
[01:28] <Yaiko> The vast majority of people could not stop asking questions about the baby's sex, which is really the more appropriate word in this case. Some of these strangers even got aggressively and verbally violent. "Why won't you tell me!" and more.
