[20:21] <Liza Sunrise-Suminaka> My hypothesis would be that macro-scale creatures would require cold planets? Far beyond the habitability zone, perhaps, than what water would be the amphoteric biocompound.

[20:23] <Liza Sunrise-Suminaka> I'm thinking completely different kind. Maybe no muscle. Muscles rely upon cells. This might be something totally different, hence the lack of the "micro" part.

[20:24] <Liza Sunrise-Suminaka> Indeed. Most large-sized theropods were 40 feet long, tops, with a few individual exceptions. The bigger a predator is, the more fights it has to get into to keep itself fed. A carnivore needs to be big enough to kill its preferred prey, and any bigger is a drawback.
[20:24] <Det. Ema Skye> It would have to be really different.
[20:25] <Liza Sunrise-Suminaka> Welll, obviously, as a forensic scientist, you'd know very well that heat production is directly proportional to body size. If I were going to look for a creature like this, I'd look on far-flung planets, where everything has to move slowly because water isn't in the liquid state, and they have to use other amphoteric compounds.

FORTUNATELY, since your dimension's Chateaux has such a different avatar appearance from my Chateaux, I can cross-reference the same paranormal reports when I get home, and see if the descriptions of the sightings more closely describe my own Chateaux's appearance. ^_^

There are obvious trends that she follows that can be explained by physics, provided the scientific laws involved are sufficiently complex.

[20:47] *** Liza's helmet light turns green again. Ema gets a text that there's been a bit of new evidence found and they need to re-examine it on Monday, so don't worry about that. A freak rain drizzle starts outside, and the raindrops only hit the insects attacking D. Kakaku, washing them away.
[20:47] * D. Kakaku [Outside, 1 um] looks at the ovipositors and stingers, worried about all of it.
[20:47] * Liza Sunrise-Suminaka slumbers peacefully.

[20:08] *** The carving looks like it was done by an expert. It has elaborate shapes and figures of people and the Tokyo skyline. This cannot be very old, because it looks so much like the present day city. Somebody, recently, carved all this away--the debris from the carving lines the seabed, and is only partly covered in sediment.

[20:18] *** The crowd is very excited, and asks what D. Kakaku has seen.
[20:19] * D. Kakaku [Underwater] starts describing a bit of what he's seen, including the Tokyo Skyline on the mural.

[20:20] *** The crowd are incredibly interested, and soon, a news van comes up, asking if anybody has seen the images. Do you talk to the news crew about what you have seen?
[20:21] * D. Kakaku [Docks] talks to the newscrew for a bit, and sends pictures of the mural over
[20:27] *** The news crews ask D. KAkaku what he thought of the engraving. How does he respond?
[20:28] * D. Kakaku [Docks] explains that he thinks it was made recently instead of being an ancient carving like it was purported to be
[20:31] * D. Kakaku [Docks] looks around some more
[20:33] *** The newscrew reports this, and everybody else asks D. Kakaku questioins. They talk about the pictures, and look at the different people and buildings that are apparently depicted. It seems to mostly be Tokyo... but there's something off about it.
[20:35] * D. Kakaku [Docks] answers as many as he can, with answers as clear as he can get them.
[20:37] *** The other diver gives testimony too, and eventually, the crowd breaks up and the docks are almost empty.
[20:37] * D. Kakaku [Docks] tries to find a way somewhere else.

[20:44] * Somebody watches D. Kakaku
[20:44] * D. Kakaku [Docks] looks at the Somebody.
