[07:52] <Enterprise> Soooo, since Insomnia is such a pending issue, I'VE to make it the subject of today's episode!
[07:56] <Enterprise> Treating insomnia can involve many ways through changing your sleep habits, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia for major issues, managing stress with relaxation techniques, lifestyle changes, and in some cases using medication.

[07:57] <Enterprise> Go to bed and wake up at the same time daily, even weekends, to set your internal clock.
[07:57] <Enterprise> Wind down with warm baths, quiet reading, or soft music before bed.
[07:58] <Enterprise> And by reading, I mean a BOOK. No screens! Display screens project Bluelight and that messes with you.
[07:59] <Enterprise> Keep your bedroom cool, dark, quiet, and use it only for sleep and sex. Keep your clocks hidden.
[08:00] <Enterprise> Also, if you're the type of person who feels more relaxed in a warm environment, go with that. A warm bedroom might work better for you.
[08:01] <Enterprise> Avoid caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol, especially in the evening, as they disrupt sleep quality. In fact, avoid them for at least an HOUR before going to bed. Longer is better. Especially caffeine.

[08:02] <Enterprise> Regular daytime activity helps with tiring you out, but avoid intense workouts close to bedtime. Big workouts make your body produce adrenaline.
[08:03] <Enterprise> Deep breathing, meditation, and yoga can calm a racing mind. Yoga is especially good for this.
[08:03] <Enterprise> And deep breathing exercises can help tone down the rest of your body, too.
[08:06] <Enterprise> Cognitive Behavioal Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) is apparently a very good way to help chronic insomnia by focusing on changing thoughts and behaviors around sleep.
[08:06] <Enterprise> Finally, there's the medications.
[08:08] <Enterprise> Over-the-counter sleep aids are, in reality, allergy meds. The active ingredient is diphenhydramine, which is main ingredient in the antihistamine medications that have "May Cause Drowsiness" on the side.
[08:10] <Enterprise> OTC sleep aids are comprised almost entirely of diphenhydramine, so if your allergies are what's keeping you awake, they'll also help with those!
[08:12] <Enterprise> Actual dedicated sleep aids like benzodiazepine or Z-drugs are more potent, but require a prescription because they can be habit-forming.
[08:14] <Enterprise> Melatonin and L-tryptophan are also highly recommended and available at places like the Vitamin Shoppe and other places that specialize in vitamin supplements .
[08:14] <Enterprise> And if you're having real problems with sleeplessness, consult your doctor. Because your issue might be a symptom of a deeper health issue like sleep apnea.
[08:15] <Enterprise> Finally, another recommendation is to either limit your time spent looking at a computer screen past a certain time prior to your normal bedtime.
[08:16] <Enterprise> Again, that Bluelight problem.
[08:16] <Enterprise> If you can't (or won't) limit your online time, set your computer to activate the Night Light feature at a pre-set time.
[08:17] <Enterprise> To do that, go into your Display Settings. There should be a setting for Night Light.

[08:19] <Enterprise> And lastly, make sure that your blankets are clean and washed, and that there's nothing wrong with your mattress. Tossing and turning constantly, trying to get comfortable, can really kill your sleep quality.

[19:42] *** The hallways around that point are all full of steam, and the walls and floors drip. Not all of the HOTEL is affected, as it is of course infinite in size, but the hallways with the fountain as a central location are unbearably hot, with steam billowing into other rooms.
