[21:18] <Azumi Kiribayashi> Anyway, the Moon Kingdom was a prosperous civilization spanning the known Sol System. Ruled by a queen who was wise and just. Although, that's what I have been told. We're still finding pieces of our history. Regardless, the Moon was a wonderful place to be. Until that fateful day.
[21:20] <Ryoko Mitsurugi> Indeed. When the Dark Kingdom attacked, everyone was in a mad scramble to defend. Most of the buildings were in ruins during the attack. Many died.
[21:24] <David O`Cain> There were survivors. However, there was only a handful of them. The queen, in a desperate move, used her power to have the inhabitants that had perished be reborn on Earth. I was among a smaller handful that went into stasis instead of being reborn. I don't know about the other survivors, but I woke up about 11 years ago. Found myself on Earth, and managed to find most of the friends I've made.

[20:05] *** you can see what looks like to be a lake not far......as well as the outline of the mansion itself

[20:07] * Solarchos points ahead at the lake in the distance. "That's the Misty Lake there, and on an island in the middle is the Scarlet Devil Mansion itself."
[20:08] *** it's eerialy silent
[20:08] <Lt. Ryoko Mitsurugi> Must be prime real estate to have a lakeside view.
[20:09] <Solarchos> That's putting it mildly. Remilia had the Mansion plopped down there when she and everyone else first arrived years ago.
[20:10] <Lt. Ryoko Mitsurugi> Really? If it were any of us, we'd be fishing nonstop.
[20:11] <Col. Azumi Kiribayashi> I wouldn't want to do it everyday, though.
[20:12] <Lt. David O`Cain> Hey, Solar?
[20:12] <Solarchos> I'm not sure about how much fishing they do, but Remilia doesn't like fish in general.

[20:21] *** the boat heads for the mansion!
[20:22] * Col. Azumi Kiribayashi proceeds to play Trenches by Pop Evil while David provides lead vocals, and Ryoko and herself provide backing vocals
[20:23] <Solarchos> Didn't expect you too. Just be careful though. I've heard that Kappa sometimes come down this far from the Mountain to play around.
[20:24] *** the singing echoes everywhere...through the still thick fog...you are approching the mansion pretty quickly
[20:25] <Solarchos> MEILING! MEILING HONG! IT'S THE ONRYO! WE ARE APPROACHING THE SHORE!
[20:25] *** there is no answer
[20:26] <Solarchos> ...
[20:26] <Solarchos> Don't tell me Meiling's asleep AGAIN!
[20:27] *** the boat finally reaches the shore
[20:27] <Col. Azumi Kiribayashi> Does she usually sleep at this time of day?
[20:28] *** Meiling doesn't answer...cause Meiling isn't there
[20:28] * Col. Azumi Kiribayashi grabs her rucksack as do David and Ryoko, and climb out onto the shoreline
[20:29] <Solarchos> Sometimes she does. That girl's amazing when it comes to sleeping standing up.
[20:29] *** there is no sign of Meiling......and the gates appear to have been forced open
[20:29] <Solarchos> ...
[20:30] * Solarchos pulls out both of his Accatran-pattern heavy laspistols and checks to make certain they're both fully charged.
[20:30] <Solarchos> This is not good. Those gates should be closed and Meiling should be here.
[20:31] *** it is fairly quiet
[20:31] * Lt. David O`Cain pulls out his now modified REC-7, and heads over to the gate, followed by Ryoko and Azumi armed with modified LMGs
[20:32] * Solarchos moves up to the wall beside the gates and takes cover, sneak-peeking around the corner to look around in the courtyard beyond.
[20:33] *** there is no sign of anyone
[20:33] <Lt. Ryoko Mitsurugi> I don't like the looks of this. It's like this place has been deserted.
[20:33] <Solarchos> It usually has that feel. Look.
[20:34] * Solarchos points at the Scarlet Devil Mansion itself. "The windows are always covered over like that because the residents don't like sunlight at all."
[20:36] *** the door has been left open
[20:36] <Lt. Ryoko Mitsurugi> Not that. The fact that there's nobody's here.
[20:37] <Lt. David O`Cain> It's kinda eerie.
[20:37] <Solarchos> There usually isn't in the outside. Everyone normally stays inside.
[20:37] * Solarchos starts towards the main door.
[20:38] * Lt. David O`Cain moves behind Solar, watching all sides as they move
[20:38] *** it's almost completely silent...except for a knocking noise from a nearby closet
[20:38] * Lt. Ryoko Mitsurugi and Azumi follow the same pattern as David and Solar
[20:39] * Solarchos goes to the closet and opens it.
[20:40] * Hong Meiling falls out, tied and gagged @_@
[20:41] <Solarchos> Sheesh! Meiling!
[20:41] <Col. Azumi Kiribayashi> Well, that answers where your friend went.
[20:41] * Solarchos pulls out a knife and gets to work cutting Meiling loose.
[20:41] <Solarchos> Meiling, what's going on? Did you fall asleep again and someone did this to you as a prank?
[20:42] * Lt. Ryoko Mitsurugi looks at Hong Meiling.
[20:42] *** Hong Meiling is your average everyday Hong Meiling

[20:42] * Lt. Ryoko Mitsurugi closes the doors behind the group
[20:43] <Lt. David O`Cain> What happened, miss?
[20:43] * Hong Meiling is a striking young woman with long red hair, long braided sideburns, and very pretty blue eyes. She’s quite tall, fairly muscular and quite well endowed. She’s wearing a short-sleeved white shirt, green vest, a long green dress with a slit down the side, and a green cap with a star pendant. She seems just a little bit distracted.

[20:47] * Solarchos rushes towards the indicated stairs and rushes down them!
[20:47] <Col. Azumi Kiribayashi> I guess we head to the library.
[20:48] * Lt. David O`Cain , Ryoko, and Azumi quickly follow Solar
[20:49] *** there's a soft noise..as if something is hiding in the shadows around the stairs
[20:50] <Lt. David O`Cain> Wait. Did you hear that?
[20:51] * Solarchos looks around, shining a light into the shadows.
[20:51] <Lt. Ryoko Mitsurugi> Sorta.
[20:51] *** several Onryou appear again!
[20:51] <Solarchos> Those guys again?
[20:51] *** five onryou start to spin, firing fireballs at you!
[20:52] * Solarchos waves to the Onryou, trying to be friendly.
[20:52] <Lt. Ryoko Mitsurugi> Oh not these jerks again. ~_~
[20:53] *** the onryou are shooting at you!
[20:53] * Solarchos returns fire as he dives for cover!
[20:53] * Lt. Ryoko Mitsurugi , David, and Azumi all raise up their firearms and proceed to return fire back at the Onryou
[20:54] *** you hit the onryou..and take out three....there are two left..and they start spinning faster..and firing faster
[20:54] * Solarchos keeps shooting.
[20:55] * Lt. David O`Cain continues to shoot at the Onryou
[20:55] *** you take out another..leaving one..which just moves like crazy now..
[20:55] *** david takes out the last one
[20:55] <Lt. David O`Cain> Clear!

[20:56] <Solarchos> Keep moving! We don't know yet if anyone else is in danger here.
[20:57] * Solarchos dashes towards the Library. He's been here before, so he knows which corridors and passages to take.

[20:57] * Lt. Ryoko Mitsurugi follows Solar as do David and Azumi

[20:59] * Solarchos quickly rushes through the open doors and into the Library!
[21:00] *** the room is being oddly lit...as you can see various little blue glowing flames floating around
[21:00] *** high above you..you can see a cage attached to the ceiling

[21:01] * Solarchos looks up at the cage near the ceiling.
[21:01] *** the cage is attached by a chain
[21:02] *** there seems to be someone in there
[21:02] * Solarchos is also looking around for Patchouli, Koakuma, or even Sakuya or the Scarlet Sisters.
[21:03] * Lt. David O`Cain slowly enters the library and looks around
[21:03] * Lt. Ryoko Mitsurugi follows David in and carefully checks space
[21:03] * Col. Azumi Kiribayashi is right behind everyone else and keeps an eye out
[21:04] * Solarchos looks around to see where the chain is connected to.
[21:04] *** there is the sound of gigging in the far end of the library
[21:05] <Solarchos> Can any of you see who's inside the cage?
[21:05] *** the cage is fairly high up
[21:06] <Col. Azumi Kiribayashi> Not from this angle.
[21:06] * Solarchos tries to figure out how to lower the cage without causing it to fall and smash itself and the occupant.
[21:07] * Lt. David O`Cain carefully climbs up the bookshelves to get a better vantage point to look into the cage
[21:07] <Solarchos> Hmmm, first let's figure out where the chain is anchored to.
[21:07] *** there is a chain not far from you..which seems to be attached to the cage
[21:07] *** someone sings a happy song on the other side of the library
[21:07] * Lt. Ryoko Mitsurugi has her LMG on her shoulder, looking around to make sure the group doesn't get ambushed
[21:08] <Solarchos> We should find out who else is in here.
[21:08] *** has david climbed the bookshelves?
[21:09] * Lt. David O`Cain has been climbing
[21:10] <Solarchos> I'll try to figure out how to lower the cage.
[21:10] * Solarchos looks to see if the chain is just bolted to the ground or if it's actually part of a windlass or something.
[21:11] *** david can now see who is in the cage: it's Patchouli Knowledge
[21:11] * Col. Azumi Kiribayashi looks around a bit, but stays near the group

[21:13] * Solarchos looks to see what the chain is wrapped around.
[21:14] <Solarchos> Ryoko! Azumi! Can either of you see who's singing?
[21:15] <Lt. Ryoko Mitsurugi> I can hear it, but I can't see who it is.
[21:15] <Col. Azumi Kiribayashi> I'm trying to figure out where it's coming from, Solarchos.
[21:15] *** the voice is coming from another part of the library
[21:15] <Solarchos> Find out if you can, but be careful...
[21:16] *** the chain is wrapped around a hook thing
[21:16] * Lt. David O`Cain focuses his attention on the captive, "Hey. Are you okay?"
[21:16] * Lt. Ryoko Mitsurugi and Azumi follow the direction of the singing
[21:16] * Solarchos motions his arm around at the library itself. The place is HUGE and the bookshelves must number in the several dozen.
[21:18] *** the blue lights grow a bit stronger the farther you go
[21:18] <Solarchos> David, let's follow after Azumi and Ryoko.
[21:19] <Lt. David O`Cain> ♦ (radio) On my way.
[21:19] * Solarchos quickly moves after Ryoko and Azumi, moving carefully to avoid accidentally blundering into any ambushes.
[21:19] * Lt. David O`Cain uses the top of the bookshelves as stepping stones to make his way towards Ryoko and Azumi
[21:20] *** you can see a floating figure darting amoung the bookshelves...grabbing books

[21:20] * Solarchos looks at the figure.

[21:20] *** Aoi Kasai is young woman with long blackish blue hair, blue skin and glowing blue eyes. She is wearing a white yukata with a long pole attached to her back, dagging a lamp above her head that gives off a blue fire. She floats a few inches off the ground.

[21:27] * Aoi Kasai starts to move around in a counter clockwise motion, throwing a constant barrage of blue fireballs, followed by burning papers
[21:28] * Lt. David O`Cain suddenly begins to fire at Aoi with the REC-7
[21:28] <Lt. David O`Cain> This ain't a paintball, skipper.
[21:28] * Lt. Ryoko Mitsurugi and Azumi both fire their LMGs at Aoi
[21:28] * Solarchos pays attention to the pattern of Aoi's attacks, then returns fire on her as he dodges her Danmaku shots.
[21:30] * Aoi Kasai switches to a clockwise motion, taking a few hits from the group...but keeps shooting with a constant stream
[21:30] <Col. Azumi Kiribayashi> Keep shooting!
[21:31] * Col. Azumi Kiribayashi continues firing at Aoi
[21:31] * Aoi Kasai suddenly slows to a stop....
[21:31] * Solarchos again, watches the patterns of Aoi's attacks and dodges any that get too close.

[21:40] * Solarchos takes careful aim with a sniper laser-rifle, using what's called a "hot-shot power cell" that discharges ALL of the energy contained in it in one extremely powerful shot, and shoots Aoi while she's motionless.

[21:40] * Aoi Kasai starts to go counter clockwise...throwing fireballs..but this time..she rushes forward with a large blast of fire at the group

[21:41] * Solarchos concentrates and tries to manifest an Anti-magic field around himself before Aoi gets too close!

[21:43] * Aoi Kasai goes clockwise and starts throwing fireballs and burning papers...and then does another massive fireball rush
