[19:06] *** From this vantage point, you can now identify that the small fortress you glimpsed is somewhat separated from the village itself. The walls look to be of stone construction, somewhere between ten to fifteen feet high, and the tower perhaps thirty to forty.

"I don't know you," the man asserts after a moment. "I don't know any of you. Who are you?"

[17:15] <Nelius Raoul> THis thing has to have a main body, a core, a nucleus---- something. Find it and eliminate it!
[17:15] * Rider Harmony 'slices' the LockSeed on his belt once, an echoing cry of "SUIKA SQUASH~!" denoting a charged up attack
[17:16] * Nelius' Holy Blades cut through the dragon's body, but the liquid ooze quickly starts to refome and seal up the beast.
[17:16] * Masked Man doubts blades will kill this thing...
[17:17] * The explosion disperses some of the ooze-like body, sending pieces all over the street.
[17:17] * Nelius Raoul makes the blades explode!

[21:26] *** Firstly is that there are tracks coming in and out of the forest; this isn't too surprising, based on the fact that there are in fact people living nearby and they probably do some hunting here.
[21:27] *** Further in, though, there are signs of a path. A suspiciously well-used one.

[21:36] *** The forest is a bit more lively at night, though the animals are sensible enough to settle down when there are two-legs walking around.

[21:38] *** For about an hour's careful travel as you mark your way, there's not much beyond walking. The highlight is the horrid hissing screech of a barn owl shortly after Nocturn makes another mark and you move on.
[21:38] *** Then, about thirty seconds later, there's that horrid hissing screech again, but this time from a bit ahead.

[21:39] <The Bookie> Vermellia spots the owl, looking puffy-feathered and standing on the bough of a young ash tree.

[21:42] *** The owl seems generally unmoved by the spiritual feeling -- owls are bitter as hell that way. However, this does seem like a decent candidate for smartest bird.

[21:43] * The Nocturne asks the owl about if it has sensed anything different within the forest lately. Like something coming this way.

[21:46] *** Listening to the system of shrieky hissy screeches is utter ear-splitting agony. However, through pantomime, head spinning, and screech once for one, twice for many antics, the owl communicates that there are many two-legs in the forest now.
