[19:03] * ~ Meanwhile, at the dimensional breach, the emergent alien fleet has been holding position and waiting for the last two days. Since then more and more ships have come through. Sometimes in small groups, other times in larger convoys.
[19:05] * ~ It's hard to tell exactly how many have come through now. A great many smaller ships have come through too, and quite a few of them vanished soon afterwards. Clearly, they're capable of cloaking.
[19:11] * ~ Suddenly there seems to be some kind of commotion amongst the fleet.
[19:13] * ~ The breach starts to rapidly close as a last round of starships passes through. Some of them appear to be damaged, and a barrage of energy cannon fire is shooting past them from the other side.
[19:14] * ~ Meanwhile, several thousand of the big "Dreadnaughts" have already positioned themselves in a perimeter around the breach and open fire back through. They're trying to prevent something else from coming through!
[19:16] * ~ The breach rapidly closes and reseals. Whatever force held it open immediately gets to work on reinforcing the dimensional fabric in this region of space. In the meantime the fleet scans every single one of the ships that came through.
[19:17] * ~ Two of the ships are rapidly moved away from. Gun ports open in the nearest Dreadnaughts.
[19:20] * ~ Both ships are targeted by hundreds of quantum torpedoes and multiphasic blaster fire by the thousands, transforming both ships into rapidly-expanding fields of semi-liquified shrapnel.
[19:24] * ~ The entire fleet begins to assemble into formation, preparing to depart. They have their destination selected. The fabric of space/time begins to ripple and distort as all of the vessels prepare to warp out, their FTL drives clearly operating on the principle of dimensional manipulation. Either they're using ultrawarp drive or starship-scale wormhole projectors

[10:11] <Nobu> I put it under my pillow and the next day I got a new 'Super Naota!' plushie key-chain!!!
[10:11] <Nobu> Momma said that there's a Tooth Fairy that gives little toys in exchange for teeth!

[10:11] * Hachi Rolls Her Eyes.
[10:12] * Euri Hakinochi pouts fresh, homemade, sparkling blueberry lemonade into the four cups, handing them out to each of them.
[10:12] * Delilha Gelus takes the drink
[10:13] * Euri Hakinochi puts the drink back into the basket and takes out several small sandwich containers. She sets them in the middle of the blanket, opening them, and revealing two layers of sandwiches in each, cut into quarters and with the crusts cut off.
[10:13] * Euri Hakinochi points to each one as she says, "Crem fresh and cucumbers, peanut butter and jelly, raisons, carrots, and hummus, and ham and cheese.
[10:14] <Delilha Gelus> o..oh wow
[10:14] * Euri Hakinochi also points out the fact that there's a bowl of berries and sliced apples.
[10:15] * Nobu takes a crem fresh and cucumber piece, a piece of the ham and cheese, and a piece of the pb&j sandwiches.
[10:15] * Hachi takes two of the hummus sandwiches and one of the pb&j.
[10:15] * Euri Hakinochi takes one of each sandwich.
[10:16] * Delilha Gelus takes one of the sandwiches
[10:16] * Nobu stuffs the ham and cheese sandwich into his mouth and asks Delilha, "Wha yur new pfogyeh?"
[10:16] <Euri Hakinochi> Nobu, don't talk with your mouth full, it's not polite.
[10:17] * Hachi stuffs the pb&j sandwich into the side of her mouth in her cheek like a hamster so she can clearly say, "Yeah, Nobu, don't be gross."
[10:17] * Euri Hakinochi gives her youngest daughter a look.
[10:17] * Delilha Gelus can't help but giggle a bit
[10:18] * Hachi chews her sandwich, looking innocent.
[10:18] * Euri Hakinochi turns to Delilha after taking a sip of her drink.

[10:18] <Euri Hakinochi> The children are always so happy when they get to spend time with you.

[10:30] * Delilha Gelus turns and digs in a pack she brought

[10:35] *** The two children burst out in a chorus of "Thank you thank you thank yous!" and they each give Delilha a hug.

[10:37] * Euri Hakinochi smiles and contentedly eats, thriving in the warmth of having three of her four children here with her. She tries to keep the dark anguish at bay.

[10:43] * Nobu takes some chips and munches, not caring that he's getting crumbs everywhere.
[10:43] * Hachi takes a big handful of popcorn and slowly pops one at a time in her mouth.

[10:53] * Nobu takes another handful of chips and one last sandwich, putting the chips in the sandwich, and chowing down.

[10:53] * Nobu shakes his head no, his mouth full, and says "Nu uh!"

[10:53] * Hachi shies away from Nobu's outstretched arm which is offering his bitten sandwich.
[10:54] * Hachi moves over to sit next to Delilha.
[10:54] * Hachi beams up at her.

[10:58] <Euri Hakinochi> Is everyone done?

[11:02] * Nobu nods and the three offspring hand Euri their plates.
[11:02] * Euri Hakinochi takes the plates, cleaning up the blanket, and packing away any leftovers.

[11:11] * Hachi looks up, super mega interested.
[11:11] * Nobu is only a little interested.
[11:13] * Euri Hakinochi takes a deep breath, listening to the words of encourgement from the people living in her mind, and says, "I've... started seeing someone."

[11:14] * Hachi immediately closes herself off, becoming stone-like in her facial expressions. Just like she used to be several years ago.

[11:15] <Nobu> What does that mean?
[11:17] * Euri Hakinochi looks a little nervous, seeing her youngest daughter staring at the ground, and continues, "It means, I'm dating someone."

[11:17] * Hachi looks more than a little upset by this news but she doesn't say anything.
[11:20] * Delilha Gelus takes hachi's hand and gives it a little squeeze
[11:23] <Euri Hakinochi> Her name is Kaida. She's an inter-dimensional physics researcher working at Mugen Academy.
[11:23] <Nobu> Wow, she works at Mugen??
[11:23] <Nobu> She must be super smart!
[11:23] * Nobu thinks, a confused look crossing his face.
[11:23] <Nobu> But Momma!
[11:23] <Nobu> You're a girl!! She's a girl!!
[11:23] * Hachi tightens her grip on Delilha's hand, not saying a word.
[11:24] * Delilha Gelus hears what nobu says and looks a bit...uncertain
[11:24] * Euri Hakinochi looks a little embarrassed.

[11:25] <Euri Hakinochi> But I'm a woman who can fall in love with either a man or a woman. (Though I think Kaida only goes for women...)

[11:27] * Hachi finally blurts out with unshed tears in her eyes, her voice filled with anger and uncertainty, "But what about Papa????"
[11:27] * Euri Hakinochi is taken aback by Hachi's outburst, a pained, guilty feeling squeezing her heart as a look of sadness flashes on her face.

[11:29] * Hachi wrenches her hand from Delilha's and suddenly gets to her feet.
[11:29] <Hachi> You just said he was on a space adventure!

[11:29] <Hachi> He said he'd always come back.
[11:29] <Hachi> He promised me!!!
[11:30] * Hachi angrily wipes the tears falling down her cheeks.

[11:31] * Hachi cries out in a sob, her voice cracking, "But what about Silver-onee-chan???"
[11:31] * Delilha Gelus watches this...pained...
[11:31] * Nobu reaches up to hold onto Hachi's hand, empathizing with Hachi's feelings of being left behind and abandoned.
[11:32] * Hachi doesn't let him grab her hand and she turns and runs away.

[11:33] * Euri Hakinochi struggles to quickly get to her feet, the years of battle and her older age having gotten to her lately/
[11:33] <Euri Hakinochi> Delilha, watch you're brother, I'll come right back.
[11:33] * Euri Hakinochi dashes after her daughter down the busy path of the park.
[11:34] * Delilha Gelus sits next to Nobu
[11:34] * Hachi easily swerves in and out of the throng of people leisurely walking along the riverbank, tears flowing from her eyes, snot running down her nose.
[11:35] * Nobu sits there, looking down.
[11:35] <Nobu> I feel bad for big sister Hachi...
[11:35] <Nobu> Momma's always shown me pictures of Haak and Silver and Auntie Rali but I never met them...
[11:35] <Nobu> ..I feel bad for not feeling more bad..
[11:36] * Euri Hakinochi tries to keep her daughter in her view as she apologies for bumping into a family pushing a baby stroller. She calls out, more urgently, "Hachi Hakinochi, you come back here this instant!"
[11:36] <Delilha Gelus> I feel that way too...
[11:37] <Delilha Gelus> ....I wasn't sure I felt like a family member
[11:37] * Hachi ignores her mother, taking out a small charm that her dearest friend gave and presses the button on it, which makes the charm start flashing. She starts to get a little as she nears the gated exit of the park.
[11:37] * Nobu holds Delilha's big hand with his own small one.
[11:37] <Nobu> Momma... took both of us in...
[11:38] <Nobu> We're all family...
[11:38] *** A flash of light appears by the gated exit and a figure appears where the light hit the ground.
[11:38] * Hachi sobs out a "Kiya!!" as she crashes into the woman, holding onto her tightly.
[11:39] <Hachi> I wanna go to the lair!!
[11:40] * Kiya Lightsblade looks down at the shivering, sobbing girl clutching onto her tightly before she looks up, seeing a haggard, desparate, emotional woman staggeringly running towards them. She purses her full lips in a thin line and whispers, "Only for a short while."
[11:41] * Euri Hakinochi panics, seeing Hachi in the arms of a woman she doesn't recognize. She cries out, terrified, "Hachi!!"
[11:43] *** The 8th Level 5 Esper of Academy City and the child known as Hachi Hakinochi vanish in a flash of light as they're teleported to Kiya's hideout.
[11:43] * Euri Hakinochi lets out a scream of horror as her child disappears in front of her eyes.
[11:44] * Nobu feels a chill as he hears the scream.
[11:44] <Nobu> Wha...what was that??
[11:44] * Nobu clings to Delilha, scared.
[11:45] * Euri Hakinochi falls to her knees in the middle of the path, her mind both a blank and a roar, unable to think. The Hosts in her mind argue as to what her next move should be.

[11:51] * Euri Hakinochi suddenly changes, surprising the onlookers.
[11:51] * Euri Hakinochi is now known as LadyAlice
[11:52] * LadyAlice calmly gets to her feet, brushing off her knees. She walks back towards the two children left, ignoring the people staring at her.
[11:52] * Nobu is startled, seeing who's walking up.
[11:52] <Nobu> That's Auntie Alice!
[11:53] <Nobu> Delilha, have you ever met Auntie Alice before?
[11:53] <Delilha Gelus> w..who?
[11:53] <Nobu> (Why is she here? Where's Momma?)
[11:53] <LadyAlice> Nobu, good to see you again. (I wish the circumstances were better.)
[11:53] <LadyAlice> You must be Delilha.

[11:54] <LadyAlice> I'm a close friend of Euri's. You can call me Auntie Alice, if you'd like.
[11:54] <LadyAlice> Little Hachi wanted to go see a friend and Euri called me and asked me to take you two home.

[11:57] <LadyAlice> Little Hachi is distraught. She feels like her mother has betrayed her for trying to find happiness and love again.

[12:05] * LadyAlice reaches out, ruffling Nobu's hair, before gently tugging a strand of Delilha's chaotic hair out of her face.

[12:05] * LadyAlice gets to her feet, picking up the picnic blanket and stuffing all of their belongings away.

[12:06] * Nobu gets to his feet, putting out his hand in an attempt to help Delilha up.

[12:08] <Nobu> Auntie Alice is super serious all the time but she's actually really really nice to us.

[12:11] * LadyAlice holds the basket in the crook of one arm as she leads the two of them down the path towards the north exit of the park, closest to where Nobu's home is.

The majority of the fleet is currently congregating around Saturn now.

[19:51] * The Demigods start launching fighters: 240 fighters from EACH Demigod. All of their fighters are armed with phaser pulse-cannons and thorium plasma projectors...and missiles of some kind that are generating a particularly strange energy signature.

[20:06] * The Demigods open fire, starting with multiple blasts from Macrobeamers. Each Demigod has a pair of spinal-mount macrobeamers just like on the Hellesponte, only much more powerful! Rapid-fire heavy phasers and near-relativistic railgun cannons round out the Demigods weaponry.
[20:08] * The fighters close the distance and SWARM the Sontarans, firing their missiles in tight grounds at various war-wheels. The missiles seem designed to specifically explode against their energy shields, inflicting disproportionately massive drains on them as each missile implodes into a micronized Tyken's Rift.

[20:15] * The Allodon ships just...absorb the pounding. Every energy beam gets intercepted by a scintellating black shape that momentarily materializes in the vicinty of the beam strike, then vanishes an instant later, carrying away with it 90% of the potentially damaging energy.
[20:17] * Rutterkin-class cruisers decloak, take aim, and open fire on the Sontarans with continuous beam meson projectors, running the beams along the entire lengths of their targets.

Their barrier shields are refracting away the majority of the damage they're taking, their Criton hulls are highly resistant to lasers and durable as hell, and their Endgamers and Rutterkins are performing the starship equivalent of the "Death of a Thousand Cuts" on the Sontarans.
[21:00] * Their fighters are just relentless in their thousands. And only a few hundred have been destroyed. Even THEY have those barrier shields too! It takes four direct hits just to get them to even notice.
