This is a photoshopped doctoring of an insert I found in a Japanese-styled photo frame from Pier 1 (or some place like that). It was the second time I had used the stencil technique.

In Sailor Moon S, Sailor Saturn appears in times of greatest chaos in order to destroy the world because the evil threatening it is so great there is no other way to remove it from the universe. With the current wave of meaningless destruction enveloping the world, all I could think of was an image of Saturn getting ready to bring down her silence glaive and end the madness here permanently. I was so overwhelmed by the dire feelings surrounding a nation eager for vengeance, a war with seemingly infinite bounds and duration, and a growing sense of dread over the chaos erupting all over the planet that I had to put the vision into pixels. I think it sums up the post 9-11 world quite well.

Once whilst feeling nostalgic for my old BBS days (I've been online since around 1991-- gosh, almost a decade now (that deserves a wallpaper, I think)-- I threw together this compilation of ANSI files to see what I could do if I mixed the oldschool artstyle with the power of Photoshop and some anime thrown in. And yes, that is the iCE logo down there. There was a time when I would have done anything to earn the "right" to put those three little letters down on my work. Then I got sense and did my own thing. Heh.

This picture was done after I accidentally found a way to make excellent sketch-like line drawings from colored images in Photoshop. Astute observers may note that Minako is wearing Usagi's dress from the time she was on the cover of Newtype Magazine.

This picture is a fusion of the Seal of Rassilon, (the sacred symbol of the Time Lords) and Europe's Orloj timepiece, which is one of the most sophisticated clocks in the world (and over 600 years old).

A variant of the next picture. A few days after the Events of 9/11 I wanted to post a tribute picture to alt.binaries.pictures.sailor-moon, so this is what I came up with. The lyrics are a combination of verses from Minako's various image songs.
